FERRITE MAGNETS

Ferrite magnets are ceramic anisotropic magnets. They are made by pressing barium or strontium oxsides in a magnetic field.
Ferrite magnets are the most commonly used permanent magnets due to their inexpensiveness and good magnetic qualities. They also have good temperature and corrosion resistance. NdFeB-magnets, though, have overtaken ferrite magnets in some applications where the size-power ratio is critical.
